At the ballpark the Chainsaw Proctologists outscored the league door-mat
Burbank Tigers 6 to 3.
Chainsaw erupted with the game winning runs in the bottom of the 8th inning
when they tallied 5 runs on 4 hits. The key offensive moment was provided by
Garret Anderson who came through for the home fans when he blasted a two-run
home run (his 9th of the season). Chainsaw had 11 hits for the afternoon
while Burbank had 5.
Brad Thompson(4-2) allowed 1 run in 2 innings, and picked up the victory.
Thompson got relief help from Chan Ho Park who gained credit for his 7th
save. Brett Myers(2-9) was charged with the loss. He surrendered 4 runs and
9 hits in 7 and 1/3 innings.
